Wat is patch testing en waarom is het zo belangrijk?
Heb je ooit een nieuw skincare product gebruikt en vervolgens een rode, jeukende huid gekregen? Dan is patch testing misschien wel iets voor jou. Met een patch test kun je op een veilige manier uitproberen of een nieuw product geschikt is voor jouw huid. In plaats van je hele gezicht te bedekken met een product dat misschien niet goed bij je past, breng je een kleine hoeveelheid aan op een onopvallend stukje huid. Zo kun je zien of je huid er goed op reageert voordat je het product op je hele gezicht gebruikt.
Patch testing step by step
Find out if hannah products are safe and fine for your skin by patch testing them before first use. Here's how to do it:
Step 1
The first step of your patch test is very simple: choose an inconspicuous patch of skin. The inside of your elbow or the back of your knee is ideal for this because the skin there is thin and sensitive, just like on your face. Apply a small amount of the product and leave it on for 24 hours. If your skin shows no redness, itching or other irritation after this time, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 2
If you haven't noticed any irritation on your elbow or hollow of the knee, you're ready for the next step! Apply a small amount of the product to an inconspicuous part of your face, such as behind your ear or on the corner of your jaw. This way you can see if your skin responds well on your face as well. Does your skin show no reaction within 24 hours? Then the product is - probably - safe for your skin to use.
